Chain/Slat/Roller Flight/Fixture

Webb-Stiles designs and builds a wide variety of chain conveyors. Multistrand chain conveyors are used in all types of manufacturing, assembly and material handling operations. Some common chain types are:

Drag chain: The chain is in frictional contact with the track, and the load rides on the chain. This style is suitable for moving light loads over short distances.

Rolling chain: Roller friction is used either in the chain roller supporting the load, or a Block chain supported on rollers.

Pusher chain: The chain does not support the load. It propels it either on a slider bed or on a roller bed.

The most common chain conveyor types are SLAT, ROLLER FLIGHT, CHAIN and FIXTURE. Webb-Stiles chain conveyors are all custom engineered to the job.

Chain Conveyor Frame Assembly
All chain conveyor frames are similar in design. Welded steel construction in bolt together sections are used for ease of installation. The conveyor consists of three sections. The Drive or Head the Takeup or Tail and the Intermediate section or sections.

Webb-Stiles carries a variety of standard conveyor chains. We manufacture this conveyor chain and build to order. Attachments for mounting slats, or fixtures can be specified as the job requires. Conveyors using multistrand chains should be specified as "matched" pairs. For chain requiring special engineering considerations, consult with Webb-Stiles.

WEBB-STILES Slat Conveyors

All Webb-Stiles Slat Conveyors are engineered to the job. Slat conveyors form a flat level surface and can convey a wide variety of objects. Slat conveyors can also be engineered to handle very heavy loads of 10,000 lbs. and more. These conveyors can be microprocessor or computer controlled for accurate stop/start operations, etc. Webb-Stiles can build to your prints or we can do a complete turn-key operation (from concept to installation).

Webb-Stiles Chain Conveyors are all custom engineered to the job. Chain Conveyors are capable of handling light or very heavy loads of 2000 lbs. and more. Special fixtures can be engineered and built into the chain to handle a wide variety of loads.

WEBB-STILES Roller Flight Conveyors

All Webb-Stiles Roller Flight Conveyors are custom engineered to meet the load requirements. Roller flight conveyors are a powered dual strand chain conveyor with free running rollers mounted at the chain pin centers. This combination creates a powered conveyor line that allows simple accumulation anywhere on the line by means of simple stops. this system allows a minimum amount of back pressure force.

Roller Flight Conveyors can be designed to handle light or extremely heavy loads that are suitable for a roller bed conveyor.

Webb-Stiles dual strand roller flight chain comes in standard pitches of 2-1/2", 3", 4", and 6". Roller centers and rolls are determined by the pitch of the chain.

WEBB-STILES Flex-Tracker

A new low cost solution to assembly, packaging and material handling from Webb-Stiles engineering. This floor conveyor system combines simplicity and flexibility.

Pre-engineered structural steel track easily bolts together. Pre- engineered turns feature spring-loaded take-ups. Webb-Stiles 6020 roller chain with hardened steel skid pads delivers smooth, trouble free operation. The track drive may be powered by AC or DC for smooth variable speeds. The system is programmable for auto start/stop operations.

Webb-Stiles carts track smooth and true on high-quality caster wheels. Carts accept loads of up to 1200 lbs. Special carts and fixtures can be designed to meet special needs. Carts can be located anywhere on the track and easily added or removed in seconds. Carts can also be designed to accumulate.

Flex-Tracker offers very low cost installation and can be easily relocated if necessary. Track lengths can reach 400 feet using a single drive.
